Description

I made Simplicity 2444 with some cute Marc Jacobs’ bow print cotton lawn. I wanted to make a cute retro dress, and I think I’ve succeeded. The inside is finished with either french seams or bias binding for a tidy appearance on the inside as well as the outside. More photos and details can be found on my blog DapperDuds

Material Notes

Cotton lawn fabric, lace hem tape, 1/4" single-fold bias binding, invisible zipper and thread (obvs)

      It was on sale at my local fabric shop, just $8 a yard.

    I am so impressed with your inside finish more than anything. Many years ago at school, my sewing teacher use to preach at the front of the class and say that a garment must look as good on the inside as the outside. You have just proven her theory correct-you would have been her pet student. Well done on such a lovely dress, inside and outside.
