lcavagnolo’s knockoff of this J-Crewish creation was so inspiring. Her jacket can be found in my favorites. Here is my rendition, made using Simplicity’s 3538, I created my own ruffly collar and added my own pocket pattern. I made this with a silver metallic linen and lining fabric. I had to add an inch to the back yoke in order to limit the stress on the arms (I’m a fairly broad-shouldered gal). I added a handstitched running stitch in dark grey and did a simple machine buttonhole. Hope you like!

So pretty! Love the contrasting top-stitching and all the little details – gathers, ruffles, etc.! The pockets are the cutest!!! :-) Oh, and the fabric is great too – love the “sheen”!

Love this, especially the fabric. I’ve been looking for fabric like this for about a year. Where did you find it—somewhere local or a commercial store?!?!
