My self-drafted jumpsuit/clown car mechanic costume

Description
This jumpsuit was a project for my patternmaking class. I didn’t think I would ever want to wear a jumpsuit like this, so I made it from some floral IKEA printed cotton a friend gave to me. It turned out exactly like it was supposed to….but I think I’ll be giving this jumpsuit to a friend who does clowning gigs. It’s perfect for juggling, don’t you think?

Good idea, though I live in New York and we don’t have a car so I guess I should just give it to a subway conductor … or one of those pleasant people who sit in the booth all day. They probably would have me arrested!

I tought it was for red nose day too! I think your jumpsuit is very well done, it must be difficult to make this patern. I think you can wear it as it is, it’s so fresh and perfect for summer!

Hmm, I can’t seem to reply directly to your response. Oh well! I don’t remember the specifics, but it’s a charity event of sorts in the UK where you show your support by wearing a red nose! There’s much more to it than that, but I remember people wearing red noses on this one day when I was studying there :)

When I saw the thumbnail version of this outfit I thought you were in the UK and celebrating Red Nose Day! Now I read your post and see that’s not the case :) Anyway, I’m impressed you made this! You never know, in the right fabric…?

What’s Red Nose Day? That sounds awesome. I think I may try it again in a solid fabric and without the pockets. I think it may actually be wearable, done right

I think it is cute! You do have to have a unique sense of style to rock a floral jumpsuit, but I would wear it with a pair of red high top jordans, a high ponytail and some door knocker hoop earings! You did a great job on it!

Thanks! I like your vision. I kinda think it looks like something Napoleon Dynamite’s girlfriend would wear.

I can totally see the napolean dynamite connection, now that you mention it!
