This is my second attempt at the Salme Sonja dress, I’ve been dying to make this version for a while! I absolutely loved the shape of the dress – the slight halterneck/racer back neckline and poof skirt are gorgeous :) I knew I wanted to add a plain black bodice with a patterned skirt. I also am a total sucker for monochrome so knew I wanted to find a black and white large floral pattern, it took me ages to find the perfect fabric! I wanted to make this dress perfectly as it’s for a wedding I’m going to this weekend, so I lined the inside, and bound the neckline and armholes with satin bias binding as I wanted it to look slightly more special. I’m quite pleased with it :)
