A while ago I posted a sketch of what I wanted to make for my prom dress. I veered off from my plans a little because I didn’t have enough time to finish all the edges from my original sketch of a short skirt with many layers, so I made it long and flowy with lots of layers and I didn’t have to finish the edges at all! I just used the fabrics natural edge.
I am sooo proud of myself, this was my very first time making a real garment and I got my broken sewing machine fixed only about a month before prom! I was rushing to get it done in time and I had to hide a few unfinished details with the chiffon “belt” around my waist because I didn’t connect the skirt and top. But I finished and that’s all that counts!
