My pleated jacket

Added Nov 7, 2009

by lsuzzie

Hayward, Califor...

The idea for this jacket came from a jacket that I saw a jacket online and tried to copy. My jacket actually looks nothing like the jacket I was trying to copy. This was my second jacket, so, I am not an expert yet. I just finished it today and I am yet to iron it. It should look better once ironed, I think. The brooch was a last minute idea and it seems to work well with the jacket.

Material Notes

2.5 yards pink material
Lots of patience.

that’s so pretty! doesn’t look like a second attempt at all!

i am trying to do a burda trench coat myself. man…it’s so time-consuming! but fun nevertheless. hopefully mine turns out as pretty as yours.

no, I used an old jacket as a base. I took the jacket apart and used parts of it as a template.
