I love the Port Elisabeth top pattern. I shortened the length and added the detailing at the front. I purchased the fabric at the markets, but had difficulties in finding the fabric that I had in mind for the co-ordinating skirt. I find that this is a constant problem for me. I have great difficulties in finding the perfect material. Do fellow sewers have the same problem? Germany does not have a great selection of fabric and it is not all that affordable either:( so this is a constant challenge for me. But! Thanks to my fellow German sewers I found the right baby blue fabric. I drafted the high waisted skirt…. and i like how it all turned out!

So beautiful, and the colors mach so well! And I know excactly what you’re talking about; I have also very hard time trying to find the perfect fabric! In Finland we have only one big fabric store and If you don’t find your fabric in any of their stores you probably won’t find it anywhere.. It’s so annoying when you already have quite specific idea of the fabric you want and then you can’t find it anywhere.. Fabrics are very expensive too, I guess people just don’t sew that much nowadays..

I love the top fabric and I love the band along the hem of the skirt. This outfit is really cute. :)
