Description

I used an old butterick pattern for a cross over top as a basis for these dresses. I ended up rushing the blue black and white one, so had to add a feature waistband and a black panel down the centre. I took a little more time and care over the grey print one, but decided that I liked the feature waistband.
I’ve detailed the process in more detail on my blog http://everystitchthoughtout.blogspot.co.nz/

I agree, somethiings happen for a reason. Unfortunatley the front panel does effect the way the dress falls, but it is slimming.

both of these dresses are fabulous on you. i love the front panal and waistband on the second. sometimes things happen for a reason. i made a leather top and forgot about the non stretch. i had to add a jersey pleat of fabric into the back. e everyone admired it so i never let on i was covering up a mistake lol x
