These trousers are made to fit for me. This is because it is very personal to have my own tailored trousers within my size, the menswear tailored trousers fabric designs are out of dated or the same everywhere that I want my tailored trousers to be special and unique too because I am a textile designer and this will give me the chance to promote my work and making them into reality that I really want to do for a long time, I want to stand out from the crowd and other men in suits. The suit is going to be more ideal for the Autumn/Winter (mainly Winter because the yarns of my wool fabric is quite thick) and the colours that I have chosen for the suit (a dark blue background and a burgundy red pinstripe motif) are dark and ideal for the Fall season. But, I would wear it for any special occasion in the year that it would be special.
It was inspired by Cities and textured architecture that I wanted to tie both of them to men’s suits because due to lack of style and to ordinary fabric design e.g. plain, pinstripe which make the people look the same. It was all started from manhole cover rubbings with graphical images on the manhole covers in cities and manipulating the images into repeat pattern with a twist. I want to make my work extraordinary and giving the menswear surface pattern with my work a new lease of life and wanting to change menswear design forever.
