Description

Since I lost my old favourite jacket last year, I’ve never found time nor motivation to get a new one. Until now :D

I used the LOVELY Hikaru pattern, a great satin lining with flowers printed all over and vintage buttons for decoration (I left the front plain, mainly because I only had 10 buttons ;)).

It took me two and a half days to make it and I love it ><.

Material Notes

Herringbone Coutil, Satin lining, Vintage buttons

No wonder you love it. It’s PERFECT! I’d need a jacket as perfect as this. Thanks for reminding me of the Hikaru pattern!

    thank you all :)

    @ elainemay

thanks, it also taught me a very useful lesson: for extra heavy upholstery thread also use a HUGE needle (I used 110 or 130?). If the needle doesn’t pierce large enough holes into the fabric, your thread will be shredded.

it didn’t went without problems (loops, torn thread), though it really got better when I changed the needle ;)

Love the clean lines of the fabric and the bold contrast of the lining!
