Sydney Again., A...
I’ve discovered cotton sateen. Stretch too!
It’s so divine and makes an every day dress a little more glamourous with a slight sheen, lovely and easy to sew too.
Plus you can have a dress that fits when you are skinny or wearing your ’winter coat".
Thanks to my ex also for my lovely camera for Christmas so now I don’t have to wait for him to come over every 6 weeks to take photos. Although they aren’t nearly as good as the ones he takes.
This is a vogue pattern I made about 7 years ago. I made a slight alteration in the pattern adding two darts at the top as it is quite baggy around the upper chest.
I’ve also added a little colar to give it some extra oomph.
My first version didn’t turn out brilliantly and luckily I had enough fabric to make a whole new one.
Except for a slight bit of wrinkling at the back I’m very very happy.
Navy blue stretch cotton sateen.
Armani Cotton for the colar
