Burda Style For people who sew
Description
McCalls 5921, view D. I wanted to make the perfect work dress, and this tried and tested pattern did the trick.
I used a double wool crepe, and lined the dress with faux silk lining. I did have some issue with the sleeves (by following the wrong set of instructions…), but in the end I am pleased with the result.

Love love love. So simple, but so well made. If you didn’t say it was hand made nobody would ever know as the finish is so clean and neat. Nice colour also…it looks great on you.

I love this dress so much. If I found it in a shop I’d definitely buy it. My favorite part is the sleeves and I love the colour too!

Thank you! I love the colour too – it’s not quite red, but almost. I don’t usually buy fabric that cost over £10 a metre, especially if it’s remnant, but I had to buy this!
