I came across this cute little jacket in Miss Selfridge last week, and seeing as I had just ordered more or less the same material (just a different colour) I decided to give it a try. Couldn’t find any matching leather, so used stretch satin instead and I am very pleased with the outcome !!

beautiful! I saw a wool mix dress in h&m they had sold out of my size and on the way home through the market i bought 2m of the near same fabric as the dress- i hope my interpretation of the dress turns out as brilliant as your jacket! really suits you!

Love it! What a cute jacket and the satin looks great. I recently found faux leather bias tape – a lucky find! If you want any for future projects, I found it at 1st for Fabrics, Benton, Tyne & Wear – they have a website but are yet to get mail order up and running. If you wanted some, they might send it to you, maybe. They’re v friendly :)

thank you ! was a bit dissapointed at first about not finding my leather, but do like the satin very much now. Plus, when having a little clean out, I disovered a black satin pencil skirt I bought ages ago on sale in River Island, and the jacket is a perfect match !!
thanks for the tip with the leather bias type, might come in handy one day !
