Burda Style For people who sew

As a first project for my new second hand sewing machine I wanted to start with something that was simple to make, but that I really wanted to have and when I found Renske’s tutorial on Designsponge, I knew I didn’t have to look any further. I love the clever, clean design of this bag, but for me to want to use it all the time, I knew I had to add a few things. First of all an inside pocket for my phone, so I won’t have to dig through my entire bag when it rings. Second, a zippered pocket (made with a very good tutorial from u-handbag) for lip balm and other small things and third, a trick I stole from a bag I own (brand: Bree), a strap to hook your keys onto, so you can easily find them and dig them up. With all of this customization and Renske’s amazing design, I positively love this bag! Got a ton of compliments on it as well! I guess I shouldn’t tell anyone that the grey at the bottom of the bag isn’t completely lined up, or that the stitching on the inner pockets needs improving, but those are just things I’ll try to do better on in future projects.
