Description

I wanted to create a military jacket to wear to the Queen’s Diamond jubilee celebrations.I used a blazer i already owned to make the pattern for the jacket but altered the front to get rid of the lapel and the collar as well. I added epaulettes and some gold buttons. I absolutely love it!! I am definitely going to be making another.

Material Notes

red cotton drill, red crepe de chine for lining and gold buttons

Awesome! It’s a great piece. And your necklace has an interesting shape as well. It goes well with your jacket.

I suspect you will carry on wearing this jacket well beyond the Jubilee celebrations. It looks great and easy to wear. A grand job.
