My version of the Mila dress. I really adore this pattern, but was really disappointed when I got into it realized that the hook and eye closures in the front were false, and there was a zipper. I decided to attempt to make it a truly functional front opening, which involved me adding an interior flap behind the hook and eyes. (Working photos included). This was also my first go at the blind hem stitch, worked fantastically! Although my adaptation is a little awkward, and could probably be much improved, it still works it make an adorable summer dress.
Cotton, polyester, or blends, hook and eye strip by the foot in white.

I love this!!! I want to use the same black and white floral fabric! … that is, if I ever get myself sewing soon! Great work! :)

I like your combination of fabrics, it works great with the pattern. I don’t get why there is a fake opening either, and I think what you did was clever. And now I just have to make one of my own. :P
