South West, Unit...
I was considering buying a mei tai baby carrier to carry my boy from the plane to the baggage collection at the airport (where we can collect our buggy), but didn’t want to spend loads as I wasn’t sure how much I would use it apart from that. I found this great and easy tutorial online: http://www.grumblesandgrunts.com/2010/10/how-to-sew-mei-tai-baby-carrier.html and made the thing in an evening. I followed the instructions, but made it an inch or so bigger on all sides as my little one is growing so fast and is already so big at 6 months. It cost me nothing as I have lots of fabric that I bought for projects that never happened…
My boy took to the carrier straight away. He fell asleep in the back while I was doing chores… not sure I like what it is doing to my belly/bust, but it is comfy. It is much easier to put the baby in the carrier in front, which is also comfortable, but less practical for doing things where you should be able to see your hands. Still, I managed to bake a cake :-)
