I found this very light knit fabric when my fabric shop had a sale. It was so cheap that I must bought it ;)!
At first I had no idea what I can do with it. But then I thought it would be possible to make a shirt from the malissa dress. I add a belt and loops for the belt. I can make a how to for it, when someone is interested.
I´m not really confident about it, but my boyfriend like it. I think it´s ok.

i don’t like the malissa pattern, but i surely like your top! i like especially the waistband you added and it’s placing, it really looks good as an empire-like top. i could think of your version for myself a bit longer. i also like the sheer fabric you used a lot.

oh wow, thank you all for your nice comments :) ! I didn´t expected this!
The collar looks like it would be different, but it´s the same as the original. I think the fabric is the reason for this. (it was not fun to sew :/)
It was difficult for me, cause I never work with such a fabric before.
I will upload the how to in the next days!
(and a picture from the collar)

it’s not just ok, it’s great! good idea and you fit that “idea” perfectly. it would be nice if you made a how-to :)

I’ll agree with all the statements of liking it much better as a shirt than as a dress. I also think it looks great with the more sheer fabric— it’s a good layering top.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this dress but I love it as a top. The fabric is perfect for it and it really suits your figure. A how to would be great and please let us know what alterations you made to the original pattern. The collar looks like it might be slightly different?

I didn’t especially like the Malissa pattern as a dress, but love what you have done with it. All of your creations are wonderful!

I think its gorgeous! The lightweight fabric really makes it very delicate—what a great fabric find! :) Bravo!!
