Description

Fire engine red pencil skirt with black cherry lining, made from Burda 8155. I added a vent instead of a slip, and drafted a contour waistband instead of using the pieces provided by the pattern.

I like this. I am not a huge fan of red myself but I do like the style of this skirt. Well done you skills will improve in no time.

oh its fab and the lining gives it such a classy look. i normally line dresses skirts etc in cheap fabric, my rule of thumb being no one will get to see the inside? my attitude has changed slightly though.i love seeing a gorgeous lining on projects so i will use nicee lining on items i’ll wear mire than once or twice lol x

thanks! the rayon was pretty cheap, too — I think it was meant for shirting, but it wasn’t very nice shirting so I figured it would make a better lining! :)
