Burda Style For people who sew
Description
This is my version of Simplicity 2246, a Lisette pattern for a shirt dress. I made a view C, with a lightweight cotton that I bought from my mini-moon in Paris (it was a “coupon”, a 3-metre pre-cut length for €10!), and made a couple of alterations including a SBA. I was very excited when I had finished this and wore it out straight away! I am also looking forward to wearing this to work next week – it will be the first homemade dress that I’ve worn to work (if we don’t count the work summer ball ;-) )
I made a belt from view A/B too, with the same fabric, and am not sure whether it adds anything to it. What do you think? Do I need it? if so would a contrasting fabric be better?
