I recently complete the sew-retro Bombshell dress course and this is the dress I made! It’s my first big project like this and I love it! It was a bit tricky to fit the bust as I have a huge bust compared to the pattern (the pattern is for a B cup, and I’m a G cup), but I think I did ok in the end. I made it for a spring wedding of a friend, so now I have some time to make some accessories!
I’ve recently started by new blog charting my venture into the world of sewing, it gives tips on this dress – especially the fitting round a larger bust! Sleek Silhouette
Liberty Lawn Cotton, underlined with muslin (bodice) and silk organza (skirt), spiral steel boning, seam binding, grosgrain ribbon for the waist stay and zipper guard.
