Its my birthday….I am just celebrating it at work so I have to look really professional. I choose this lovely fabric with a sheen and made a jacket. It more feels like tafetta or some drapery fabric but I love it because it has an expensive look. I went for a natural scheme since I am a big fan of neutrals.
The jacket has a standing collar and tucks from underneath the bustline to the hemline. The sleeve have a bat wing effect with also tucks. French seams are used to neaten up the edges. I then found some lovely buttons made out of coconuts to put on it.
I used a really old Simplicity (Project Runway) 2588. It might be some years ago but I think I look really great.
The skirt is a basic pencil skirt with high split at the back and four buttons sewn on the waistline for
added effect.
Based on the sheen of the jacket against the lighting of the camera I really hope all the details can be seen.
2yds taffeta/drapery fabric ( extremely light)
