This is a pale green dress with a full lace overlay. The bodice has princess seams and an invisible zipper in the back. The skirts are rectangles starting a few inches below the bust and pleated where they join the bodice. The pleats of the lace are sewn down for various lengths (4-12 inches or so). The lace extends about two inches beyond the silk at the bottom, and an inch or two at the top. The two layers are joined at the bodice-skirt seam and along the zipper in the back.
The lace ended up being a bit stiffer than I had hoped, so it doesn’t lay the way I had anticipated, but I’m pretty happy with it.
The sketch in there was my original conception of the dress, obviously it changed a bit from there!
I’m afraid I don’t have good descriptions, but it was a bit less than 2 yards each of the lace (detail picture above) and pale green silk.
