Emerald green again!! Seems to be a re-occuring theme with my clothes haha… although you may recognize the main body of this dress from my “Heard Melodies are Sweet” project. Yes, it’s the same dress.
I felt that as it was before (with the gold and beading) it would be far too fancy for a more casual graduation ceremony, so dis-assembled the shoulder drape and waist-band and used the same chiffon to make a second skirt layer with a new waistband. I really like how simple it is now and was glad that on my big night I wasn’t constantly fidgeting with all the fabric that used to be draped over the bodice.
It was truly an amazing experience to arrive at the event with my best friend Katya by my side and have both of us wearing dresses that I made myself. What a great memory to cherish forever!!
