I dyed the lace with coffee to match with the fabric and used soft, cushiony quilt fabric for the lining.
Hope both moms like this~!
My Jagibear loves it~. ^^

I love it! I have a similar kind of lace heart that I don’t know what to do with yet. This is very inspiring!

Yes, it is so good! But I have a question. How did you apply that metal clip? Once I tried to make something similar but fabrics was constantly extracting out…

The length of the top part that was eventually sewed to the clip was half inch shorter than the total around of the clip.
I basted the top to the clip first to make sure the lengths r match.
Then sew them w confidence~!

So exquisite. It looks very expensive! When you dye fabric with coffee do you just make black coffee and soak the fabric?

Dear Janene,if you don’t minde this interruption, once I used black coffe to colour up some fabric and I have done just as you said: just made black coffee and soaked the fabric. And it depends how strong coffe you made for colour intesity, and also how long you keep it soaked in coffe…

Here how i dyed the lace
1. Get used grounds from Starbucks for free
2. Put the grounds with salt in water ; salt makes the color stay longer
3. Let it boil then put the lace and boil for 15 mints.
4. wash the lace until all the coffee color comes off.
5. Shape it nicely and let it dry naturally on a dry towel.
Hope this tip is helpful.
