This skirt is based on Burda pattern No 8090. I used 2 different cotton fabrics, a light green and a chintz. I also sewed a light green lining.

Thanks! Somehow, my front piece was over 4 inches too wide (?) I don’t know how that happened. I’ll have to pay closer attention next time i make the skirt.
Thanks for getting back to me :)

I have a question for you. When you made this skirt, did you find that the ribbons came up to be too short in length? I am presently sewing this skirt, have cut out all the fabric, including the strips for the ribbons – and I am about to topstitch the ribbons in place – and they are too short. I believe they should extend all the way to the edge of the fabric, eh?
Did you encounter this same problem? I’m making the size 38, by the way. (Can I just say that I wanted to hold off making the ribbons until I had the actual piece ready so this wouldn’t happen, but I thought I’d trust the pattern piece….. One should always listen to that inner voice!)
I love your skirt – love the light green trim – it goes very well.

Although it’s been a year since i sewed that skirt (size 36), i don’t remember having this problem with the strips…. And if i remember correct, i only had to put right the upper and lower strip, because they had different lenght. (Upper just a little smaller than the lower strip).
Thank you for all your good words and sorry for the delay of my answer!!!
