I made this dress a couple of months ago, for my little son Catholic Bapthism. Everything was white and golden, the decoration, the cake and favors, so I decided to make a special dress for that occassion using the same pattern colors.
I love greek mythology, and I have this kind of tunica in mind years and years ago.
As you can see, I’ve used again my old bedroom curtains for the skirt. I love the cut design at the edge of this fabric. I used Burda Pattern, dress 105 december 2007 just for the back and front skirt. I made the upper front part without any pattern just drapping and drapping the fabric on my body to adjust it perfectly to the armband.
I found those perfect flat armband in H&M (2X 7 euro) the perfect shape and color. I found the chain at Verstegh, plastic gold chain (25 euro). Satin as lining and a white and golden trim for the seams.
I really love this dress, some could find it “too much” but to me is just perfect. For taking this pictures I used the petticoat I made for my polka dots dress.
chiffon, 1 mts. satin, zipper, 1 flat armband, golden chain (about 40 cms)

You know white color is my weakness. But this dress is a killer one!! You look breathtaking. This summer I did something similar and still didn’t post it :( It is white too with golden chain but not so wide as yours. Your dress is very cool! That’s my favorite!
