Description
I’ve been liking fall colours lately. You know, gold, orange, red, brown, mustard-yellow etc. And the 5+ m of this soft, soft nettle in my stash simply begged to be sewn into a fall item. This is the result!
A simple full-circle skirt with interfaced waitband, invisible side-zipper, fabric-covered button and horsehair braid in the hem.
It was my first time working with horsehair braid, and I think I’m in love with it! I bought 25 m on a roll, and already have plans for every last cm of it! I have some pieces of plaid wool fabric in my stash that would make some awesome circle skirts for fall/winter!
Sorry about the poor quality pictures (and the bad poses and facial expressions), today just wasn’t my best day ever.
Material Notes
app. 1,3-1,5 m red nettle (similar to linen, but another fiber. It drapes better and is way softer), 0,7 m waistband interfacing, 1 red invisible zipper, 1 fabric-covered button, thread, 4,4 m black 1,6 cm wide horsehair braid.

Very cute! I gotta pick up some horsehair braid some time for my next circle skirt…
