Description

I spent way to much at the fabric store, so was looking to keep myself out of trouble. This dress was based on New Look 6156, a pattern that I had previously used for a costume. The pattern has a dropped waist, so I moved the seamline to my natural waist. I also shortened it about 5 inches, and had previously lowered the neckline a bit.. The fabric was an old sheet, I already had thread, and zipper, and the pattern, so it turned into a completely free frock.

Material Notes

I used a old sheet of my parents. I really love the colour. Plus, I know it will wash up really well!

You made a pearl out of something so plain. It looks really nice and lovely on you.

Very nice dress! Aren’t those big skirts just the best? ;)

Thanks. I think this pattern will end up being made a bunch of times in different fabrics.

OMG, I’m so in love with that blue!!! IT would have looked doubly awesome in satin, but you did such a great job on it, I love it the same. :D
