This is the second dress I made successfully in my sewing course (the first one went to my sister). I had this fabric I bought at an Asian fabric shop in my area before I started the classes and wanted to make something with it but had no idea what.
I used the bodice of Vogue pattern Number 8472 and the skirt of Vogue 8615 (both pictures attached). It was a bit annoying at time with the lining because I chose a flowy fabric for the lining (still don’t know many fabric names), but it was worth it.
It sits very well and I’m in love with this dress. I finished it in early spring 2009 and my teacher didn’t give it back to me until late June 2009 as they had to grade it, but I was very impatient to wear it. When I finally got it, I wore it to work and everywhere I could get away with it. :-). I bought lots of different colour cardigans to match the flowers. Anyway, I won’t bore you any longer, but I hope you like it.
The lines of Greek architecture inspire this neutral and pastel collection.
