This was my first time in a few different ways. It was the first time i had downloaded a pattern. i was impressed with how hassle-free and easy the whole process was. It was the first time i had followed pattern instructions on my own (normally helped by teacher at sewing class) and the first time i had sewn with merino wool fabric. i was a little nervous because i imagined it would be difficult but found it a lovely fabric to sew with. it keeps it’s shape, doesn’t fray and generally did what i “told” it to do! Anyway, so here is my Jenny skirt, which i am totally in love with. it fits like a glove and is ultra comfy. i know the instructions say to use light weight, non stretch fabrics and i did the total opposite, but i think it worked. it’s winter here and we’re having a dark and rainy day, so lighting/photos are not great. hope the deliciousness of this fabric still comes through though :)
i still have to put a hook and eye at the top of the zip … i will get to that when it stops raining and i can go out!
oh, and it was the first time i had sewn a split!
