I picked the McCall’s Pattern M5804 as I was assured it was very easy. To be fair the instructions were great and the fact that it was fully lined actually helped in a lot of ways, despite there being more to do.
I’m really happy with the result as it’s a first attempt; the midsection doesn’t match up exactly at the back, and the zipper is squiwiff at the back but I can live with that :)
Quite heavy cotton both outside and lining

zippers are not easy until you practice them. I think it looks great!! thanks for posting the pattern, too, so we could see the intended outcome. Great job and really good work on the front bodice and the sides and underarms.

This is just lovely! I really like the fabric print and it is beautifully made. A very comfy style for a summer dress. Really, the first thing you’ve sewn? Congratualtions!

Wow, I love this!
I dont think your zip is wonky, I’ve sewn a few zips in and now tend to avoid them since they look hidious!!
Well done on your first dress! It looks great, and I just love the fabric!
