This is a dress I made for work. It’s the first piece of clothing i’ve made for actual wear – prior to this everything i’ve made has been a practice garment (with horrible cheap fabric) or a costume. This time I splashed out on some $20/metre fabric and it was well worth it. The neckline gapes a little (a common complaint with this pattern from what I can see on patternreview.com) but overall i’m very happy with the result. And as you can see in the pictures it’s already been worn to work with rave reviews :)
Suiting fabric, custom covered buttons (from Jimmy Buttons), zip and lining. I accidently used cheap 100% acetate lining, a mistake which won't be repeated.
Vogue for the pattern, my boyfriend for the photos (sorry for the camer-shy model).
