My first skirt for my little girl. Used the Lazy Days Skirt “pattern” from oliver + s. I fell in love with the ribbon hem, especially since I have been collecting spoolsof ribbon for years, but have been at a loss what to do with them. Very easy to make, only took just over an hour or so, and I am still quite a novice with the sewing machine.
The only problem was that I goofed and made the elastic a tad big for her (I didn’t want it to be too tight) and didn’t realize until it was done. Since the skirt is a bit long, I may just wait for her to grow into it or I might rip the seam and redo the elastic. Not sure yet. As it is, my little girl won’t wear it longer than 30 seconds right now so redoing the elastic isn’t a priority;)

Very cute! I have been sewing for my granddaughter who is almost 6 months old and a few of the items I have made are a little big also. But they do grow fast so I am sure it won’t be long until she can wear this. Keep up the good work!
