I am SO pleased with these! And as others who have made jeans said, I don’t think I can ever buy jeans again. I have trouble buying jeans that fit as I have very long legs, but these fit so well. I made quite a few changes to the pattern: shortened the top part to make them low waisted, lengthened the legs and took the legs in to make them more of a skinny jean fit.
The problem is that I’m going to end up not having enough trousers because I will now refuse to buy them and I don’t really have enough time to make everything…

Those are awesome!! I am in the middle of making mine now. I am so confused with the zipper. Am I supposed to cut something on the front piece? Like where there is 2 rectangles overlaying? If you would help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!

You need to cut one piece with the rectangular tab and one without. I wasn’t too sure about it the first time weather, and I’m not quite sure how to explain. You have to fold over the rectangle and put the zipper on it… Try looking at a pair of bought ones :) I’m sorry I’m not being too helpful… Maybe someone else can explain? Thanks anyway !

You did such a good job on these! The fit is great. I can sympathize with having trouble finding jeans that fit, but for the complete opposite reason. :) Out of curiosity, what pattern did you use? Or are they self-drafted? I can’t find it in the description or comments.

Your jeans look so good! And the pockets are cool. :) I’m wondering how long the whole process took, pattern adjustments and all, because I know people who sew clothes for themselves but don’t like sewing jeans because they don’t think it’s worth the time.

Thank you! It probably took about two hours for the pattern and cutting the fabric, then around five hours of sewing (I’m not sure though because I didn’t do it all in one go). All in all I found it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be :)

They are absolutely great. I have just ordered some fabric to make a pair of jeans for my boyfriend. I hope I’ll be able to do such a great job as you. I think the only problem is to find the right fabric. I ordered my one online, so now I’m just hoping it will be good. Great job again!

Thank you! I know about the fabric, I ordered mine online too because I don’t have a fabric shop near. Even online it was hard to find anything. This is okay but it’s a little thinner than I expected. Do you know of anywhere to get lighter coloured denim? Good luck with yours!

You did a great job! Once you make your own jeans it’s hard to stop because then you get the fit you want.
