This is my first big project.
Please excuse the poor picture I was just so excited about finishing it and posting I couldn’t wait till tomorrow and good light. ^^
I used some cheap cotton I found at a local fabric store because I knew I was going to mess up so I didn’t want to spend too much money.
I learned A LOT doing this! Like how to fully line a dress and insert an invisible zipper (without hand stitching).
There are some things I still don’t know how to fix (like gaping/excess fabric above the bust) and I need to practice finishing the invisible zipper.
Also, the zipper is invisible while the dress is not on me, but when I put it on it shows. Somehow during sewing I think the dress went from size 38 to 36, so it’s a bit tight on me and I have to put it on over my head :S
I also learned the importance of under stitching which I didn’t do :(
Pattern really isn’t that difficult. It is a wonderful dress and I will definitely try and make another one (in my size) with all of the things I’ve learned in mind! :)
Trousers, blazers, and blouses in cool neutrals have model-off-duty style.
