My daughter’s friend’s mum brought a drawing and a 50×150cm scrap of red crushed velvet and asked me to make a dress for her daughter’s 7th birthday. I found a pattern that matched the picture (McCall M6420) and re-purposed a sari I bought on e-bay and ta-da – princess dress. The other slight problem in the order was that it is a surprise so I have no idea whether it fits the girl (fits my daughter well though)! Of course my daughter loves it and wants one for her birthday…
