loved this pattern! prudencerabbit’s super cozy looking chickadee filled me with the need to have one myself. It was an easy pattern, although I admit I had to look at the pieces for a bit to figured out where to pin the fronts together, only because the curve threw me a little, but I got it right on the first try.
Deviations: I topstitched the yoke after joining, which wasn’t in the directions – not crucial, but helps the SA lie flat.; however since my fabric was so thin it caused it to ripple a little. Some steam from the iron helped this a bit. I also sewed the side seams up at 1/2" because I suspected it would otherwise be a bit large on me. Next time I will do the same for the raglan seams and also take some of the fullness from the sleeves because I think they are a bit big on me. I also skipped the step of finishing the sleeve hems and the bottom of the shirt because with a single knit I think it’s ok to let them curl. I may go back later and hem the bottom.
cotton single knit jersey, very lightweight
