I made this tunic out of the Burda Fashion’s free tunic dresses pattern. I already know that I always have to cut the pattern a size smaller, but it still turned out too large and unflattering. I think maybe the fabric was too thick, so it got a little puffy. I have taken the side seams in quite a bit, and I like it better now. I might try to sew another tunic, but it would probably be later on (umm… spring?).
Thick knit facric.

This is really cute. I like the pattern. I love Argyle patterns.

I am glad you managed to change it to your liking – I absolutely love the fabric and the shape (at least on the dress form) seems to be pretty good too.

Same case here (about the size, pregnancy thing). I wore it once already and felt like everyone was staring at me. My imagination, I guess.
BTW, I love your works. So well made!

It looks great though. Perhaps the idea is, that it sits quite loosely, more like a dress.
Perhaps it looks good with opaque burgundy tights, or did you make it too short for a dress? In that case you could perhaps wear some short shorts with tights under the tunic or a mini skirt. I hope you get to wear it, it would be shame for all the work otherwise!

Thanks for the comment :) I didn’t like it loose since my thighs are kindda wide, and my waist (proportionally) is rather small, so wide clothing gives me the square shape :) I did put some effort to this, though it was quite easy to sew. I’m sure I’ll wear it as you suggested with skinny jeans or such.
And work is never wasted…. I’ve learned a lot! _
