Description

This is my first time using a Vogue pattern so I chose a easy one…DKNY Vogue 1250. It really was easy & I only ran into a little problem with the shoulder seams. I used this electric blue jersey knit & the pattern was only 3 pieces. It took me about 3 hours including cutting out the pattern!

Looks fab andf a great fit too.

Just a little tip, make sure you iron your patterns before you pin them down. With stretch fabrics it wont effect the fit much but with woven it will. It’s a p.i.t.a but definitely worth it. Did you pre wash your jersey too? It shrinks! I’ve learnt that.

thanks for iron tip…I usually do but it slipped my mind this time…..I always pre wash my fabric with Ivory Snow & mine did shrink but I always buy more fabric than the pattern says for my mistakes!

I like it very much. It looks so elegant, like a red carpet outfit, but seem to be easy to make. Thank you for showing.

PS: Love your kitchen, too :-)
