This mixture of black and grey stretchy dress fabric was in my stash and I wanted to make nothing more than a dress out of it. A very simple style came to mind, so I went ahead with the execution. I am so very disappointed with the result. The elasticity in the dress stretch too much and gives it a bulky look.
The dress has a v neckline at the front and back. The front has pleats at the waistline and the back has a zipper. The shoulder is cut all in one to give the illusion of a sleeve. I used a black chiffon ruffled trimming at the front neckline to add a little drama.
Absolutely no pattern was used in this construction and it took me roughly three hours to make even though I am not very pleased with the outcome I still decided to share it.
1 1/4 stretch matte
