My very first corset, created mainly as a beginning to Victorian costuming but also because I love corsets and I’ve been dreaming of making a corset for a very long time.

Thank you! The pattern I used is Truly Victorian 110. It’s a fairly easy to make corset with a very good fit. The instructions are very clear, also (most importantly) on sizing the pattern. For boning I used white steel and spiral steel. 1 tip for those of you who want to make a corset: just do it! Don’t be scared or intimidated. I was and looking back it went like a dream and I was wondering what I was so scared of :) Planning on making more, but first I have to get started on the rest of my Victorian outfit.
Good luck! And don’t forget to put up the pictures ;)

Wow! It looks absolutely amazing! Great choice of fabric, very neatly made and it looks like it fits really well. I’ve made a corset myself once, but didn’t use a fancy fabric. It was ment to go under my (still in UFO state) victorian dress. I’m still considering doing another one and seeing yours, I think I should give it a go.
