My Cinderella Dress

Added Sep 8, 2010

by ivyfrozen

Fremont, Chico, ...

Somehow, this dress was inspired by Cinderella. It got mixed around in my head and this is what came out. It was supposed to be more decorated with trims, but I wanted to keep it simple so I’d wear it more… Perhaps I should just at more trims and decorations. I need to even out the gathering at the waist anyways. Any suggestions?

Edit Thanks everyone!

Material Notes

quilting cotton

I LOVE this dress, I want one. I think it’s great just the way it is, the gathering actually looks intentional. It gives it a sort of marie antionette vibe but more modern. :D Great job!

The gathers look intentional. I wouldn’t bother redoing them.

I like the uneven gathering as it is! I think it gives the skirt more a more fun and “poofy” look :D
