Description

Francoise dress (pattern by Tilly and the Buttons) in a deep blue cotton with graphic flowers jaquard that takes gold aspect depending on how the light is on. It’s a made in Italy haute-couture fabric comes from the Vivienne Westwood’s collections. The collar is made with a golden corduroy fabric from a very famous italian cotton mill and I used a piping with golden metallic beads to embellish it.

Oh, Tina, you never cease to amaze! I saw this dress on your blog first and sighed, it’s just so beautiful. Love the fabric, it’s just so rich without being too over the top at the same time, I think the simple shape of the dress also plays a great role in toning the fabric down in a good way.

I’d easily give it a shot as an everyday dress, though, because who said one should not wear a beautiful dress every single day? I believe one should!

Great dress. Suits you so well. I saw Tilly on British sewing bee. Lucky you being able to source such lovely fabrics.
