I made this dress about 3 years ago and only wore it twice as of today !!! It is based on a Burda pattern from 2006 I think, but I cannot find the full reference any more. It has a separated belt to wrap around the waist.
Actually, I fell in love with the red/black print of the double knitted fabric and immediately decided to cut a wrapped dress out of it. Once done, I did not dare to wear it because of the fabric strength, but finally decided it’s worth it!
Now I am very happy of this garment that has a simple but still raffinated line.
It is quite easy to wear for business, and very comfortable in mid-season.
If I had to make it again, I would downsize to a 34 as the double knitted fabric is really stretchy and I prefer this type of garment well adjusted to my small bust. moreover, the strong print hides the dress details a little bit. Anyway, I wear it with a black tank top underneath to avoid any problem with looseness and it’s perfect.
