Here is my wedding dress!! i wanted something simple and that i would be able to wear again. I’m not found of white traditionnal dresses, which are for me too formal…
The pattern i used for my dress is a Vogue Pattern, V1102.
The fabric (coton popelin) is a fabric i designed with pictures i took from broken windows, the little glasses pieces are just like diamonds!
The dress is fully lined with pale blue coton chiffon, and underlined with silk organza for a better fit.
All the seams had been hand sewn to the underlining for a better effet.
The cardigan is made with an…. unknow fabric, which looks like synthetic gabardine… But the effect is really nice. The cardigan is also fully lined, with the same coton chiffon i used for the dress.
The pattern is from the Burda magazine Septembre 2012. I made some modifications on the original pattern to make it longer and the neckline in the back is really low so the knot of the dress can pop out and is not under the cardigan. (see on the picture, easier to understand!!)
the petticoat is bought, i had no time left to sew it!!!! ;)

This is gorgeous. I love the personality of it, which makes it so much more interesting than an off-the-rack white wedding dress.
