I’ve wanted to have a lace dress ever since I saw a picture of Janis Joplin in a lace outfit. After that I’ve seen many lace dresses I loved, their forms were simple.
I finally brought up the courage to sew a lace dress for my birthday. I self drafted the pattern, using a tutorial from Burdastyle. This is the first time I used a muslin. Although it seemed from the muslin that I need to apply a zipper at the side it turned out to be completely useless. Also, the waistline turned out to be too low for me. But these are two minor details that don’t seem to be much noticeable in the general appearance.
