Description

I LOVE this. Can I say that? I just love it.
I saw the fabric on ebay and wanted it so badly, but the voice of reason pointed out I would never wear a dress made out of such loud print. But a kimono for drifting round the house is another matter and Burda has the perfect pattern. I wanted to wear it as a cover up so I extend the front edges to create a wrap-over (the pattern falls edge-to-edge) and I made it longer. I also added a line of piping between the band and the body.

The pattern uses lace with an underlining whereas I lined mine. This blog post was really helpful in getting it right http://chanelno6.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/part-ii-sewing-kimono.html.

Material Notes

Printed viscose lined with viscose.
