It’s nice to see your result too, I think your fabric is much better for this pattern. The fabric I used is a bit too stif for the sleeves, I think I will remove the sleeves.

This is a great dress, seems so light and comfortable. Love the fabric.

A much nicer version than the plain blue, the polka dots are so cute and it really suits you xx

Really? Crepe lining? Crepe chiffon? I imagined a silky smooth lining. Like a flowing fabric that has a shiny silky feel. And yeah a light colored lining for a dark outer fabric can have an interesting effect :-) Well it is a beautiful dress! I hope I get to make it too (there are so many projects I want to make)!

Oh, I love the 15 NIS section in Avnet :-) I just bought some fabric for making pants – I’m going to make more and more pants until I get them to fit right!!! What did you use for lining? How did you do the shirring – did you zigzag over the elastic and then pull it?

I used a chocolate brown crepe for the lining, which actually had cost me more then the outer fabric.
Another option I thought about using was a pale fabric for the lining, which could be interesting with a dark transparent fabric on top.
Yes, exactly, zigzag over the elastic and then pulled it.

What a lovely dress!! I really like the fabric and the style. It’s nice to see a finished dress from the magazine – it makes me want to make things I normally might not choose to make. Was it hard to sew?

Thanks :-)
BTW the fabric is from Avnet – 15 shekel section..
It wasn’t hard at all, I don’t know why they put 3 dots next to this pattern.
I thought the front would be too bulgy if both the lining and the outer fabric would be ruched, so I made only two rows of gathers on the lining.
