This is the vintage Butterick 6292 dress. I found this pattern on etsy and it was love at first sight. I love wrap dresses, but this is even better since it’s a pseudo-wrap (so there’s no gaping).
It was supposed to be my Christmas dress, but I was too pressed for time, so being bright red, it’s now my valentine’s day dress.
The details include a self-fabric covered belt, pleats at the neckline, a side zip, and a fill circle skirt (all 6 yards of it).
I have more images and details up on my blog: http://zilredloh.com
I used a double knit fabric and included details such as horsehair braid hem, waist stay, and a handpicked zipper.
Take off with pleats, cut-outs, insets, and futuristic prints.
